At our private school in Erode, drama and performing arts grow with learners, building confidence, creativity and communication. Curricular Drama classes (IB PYP – Grades 1 – 5) integrate dramatic expression into everyday learning, using performance as a powerful form of student voice and reflection. This is further enhanced by a vibrant co-curricular programme, where learners of all stages deepen skills and shine in front of an audience through:
Dance is both an art form and a powerful tool for whole-child development. From the Early Years onwards, learners learn Indian classical, folk and Western styles, refining rhythm, coordination and musicality while building strength, flexibility and posture. In the dedicated Dance Studio, learners explore daily movement sessions in KG, then progress to structured classes and co-curricular activities that sharpen memory, listening skills and focus as they master sequences, timing and stage presence. Through regular performances in school events, festivals and annual programmes, dancers grow in confidence, teamwork and social skills, making dance a vibrant pillar of their personal growth and overall wellbeing.
Music nurtures technical skill, creativity and discipline from Kindergarten through Senior School. Learners study Indian and Western classical music, developing pitch, rhythm, aural awareness and music literacy alongside higher-order thinking skills. In the dedicated Music Room, curricular lessons within the IB PYP Arts programme are enriched by vocal training, instrumental tuition and regular performance opportunities in assemblies, school events and the TIPS Podcast. As learners progress, they refine ensemble skills, interpretation and stage presence, gaining the confidence to perform, collaborate and pursue music as a serious artistic and academic pathway.
Design and Technology is driven by a strong STEM culture, an active robotics programme and rich links with the creative arts. Through DTTE (Design Thinking Technology and Engineering) from Grades 3 – 9, learners engage in hands-on, skill-based learning that follows the full design cycle and nurtures inventive problem-solving. In Carpentry and Textiles, they design and make functional products to take home, while Robotics sessions build logical thinking, coding foundations and applied STEM capabilities. All practical work takes place in extended block periods, with strict safety protocols and appropriate PPE, ensuring that learners gain real-world skills in a secure, well-supervised environment.
Visual Arts and Design at TIPS International – Erode guide learners from playful exploration to sophisticated, independent practice. In a dedicated Art & Design Studio, learners work with diverse 2D and 3D media such as drawing, painting, collage and digital graphics, developing both technical skill and a strong personal style. Early and Primary years focus on curiosity, creativity and active engagement with the world through making and appreciating art. As learners move into Middle and High School, they refine techniques, experiment with complex ideas and visual languages and learn to think critically and perceptively, producing high-calibre artworks that express their individual voice.
Photography is both a creative outlet and a pathway into visual storytelling. In the Photography & Media Lab, learners develop core technical skills such as depth of field, framing and aesthetic composition, then advance to subtle image editing using tools like Photoshop. Collaborative projects with other campus departments, peer-to-peer portfolio reviews and exhibition opportunities on and off campus help young photographers refine their craft, share their perspective and grow as confident visual artists.
Learners discover the power of shared information exploring different forms of media:
Through learner-led discussions, teacher reflections, expert conversations and inspiring success stories, learners take part in thoughtful dialogue that connects academic learning with real-world experiences. Each stage of the process—from planning topics and shaping questions to speaking, listening and reflecting—helps learners develop confidence, creativity and clarity in communication. As they share their views and respond to others with purpose, they strengthen public speaking, critical thinking, active listening and self-belief. In this way, podcasting becomes a powerful platform for learner voice, helping learners grow into articulate, informed and confident individuals who are ready to listen, learn and lead in a changing world.
At our Cambridge School in Erode, learners free their inner selves and enhance creativity in specialised spaces, designed for each discipline.

I love how watercolor feels soft and free.
I love how watercolor feels soft and free. While painting this, I imagined the colors talking to each other. Some parts came exactly as I planned, some parts changed on their own – and that’s my favorite part. This artwork shows how I feel when I paint: calm, happy and creative.
Mithra Grade 5
The 3 years I spent at TIPS were the years that changed the way my life worked.
What was once a clueless aspiration was molded into the goals I needed to pursue lifelong. Each year, I was offered a new opportunity, followed by a different learning - preparing me to take on the world with clarity and purpose.
