What's happening
At The Indian Public School Erode International, safeguarding sits at the heart of the school community because learners thrive when they feel secure, valued and heard. Every adult on campus shares responsibility for protecting learners and promoting their wellbeing each day.
The school follows a comprehensive safeguarding framework that prioritises learners' physical, emotional and psychological safety. Safeguarding is woven into daily practice policies and culture led by the School Counselling Department in close collaboration with trained staff and school leaders.
Designated Deputy Safeguarding Leads guide safeguarding practices on campus, supported by staff who receive regular training in child protection and the early identification of emotional distress, bullying and abuse.

As one of the best private schools in Erode, safeguarding is reinforced through a clear Safeguarding Policy and behavioural policies that promote respect, responsibility and safe conduct in every area of school life.
As a proud member of International Schools Partnership, TIPS International - Erode aligns with ISP global safeguarding standards and policies ensuring that child protection and student wellbeing reflect the highest international expectations.
Monitored campus
A network of CCTV cameras covers entrances, corridors, classrooms, playgrounds, residential areas and common spaces helping to maintain a secure campus.
Visitor registration
All visitors are required to register at the main security gate. Entry is granted only upon identity verification and with prior appointment. Parents and visitors are issued visitor passes and are escorted as required.
Supervised pick-up and drop-off
Structured procedures govern the drop-off and collection of day scholars, ensuring learners are only released to authorised individuals.
ID badges
A clear ID badge system for learners, teachers and staff ensures swift identification, enhances daily security and builds trust across the school community.
Class pass system
A structured class pass process for stepping out during school hours supports accountability, protects wellbeing and helps sustain a calm and focused learning environment.
Trained security staff
Highly trained security professionals stationed across the campus deter risks, respond rapidly to concerns and uphold a strong culture of protection for everyone on site.
Emergency contacts
Clearly visible emergency contact numbers throughout the school enable quick action. All our staff have emergency contacts saved on mobile devices.
Emergency preparedness
Recent upgrades to building safety and infrastructure are supported by regularly reviewed emergency systems. Clear signage and safety instructions across all areas support calm confident responses.
Medical safety
An on-site ambulance available at all times ensures that urgent medical care arrives without delay, while a well-equipped nursing room with first aid and medical support provides prompt attention for illness or injury.
Residential safety
Residential learners are accommodated in dedicated, gender-separate boarding facilities with house parents/wardens supervising at all times.
Preventive education
In age-appropriate sessions, learners explore bullying awareness, personal boundaries and respectful peer relationships. Preventive education takes priority over punitive measures.
Safe reporting culture
Clear and safe reporting channels are encouraged so concerns can be raised without fear, empowering learners to speak up, knowing they'll be heard and supported through and through.
Digital safety
Regular online safety sessions assemblies and classroom discussions guide learners to navigate the digital world responsibly, while tailored parent awareness sessions address online risks and healthy digital boundaries.
IB wellbeing programme
Integrated into the IB PYP framework, regular wellbeing sessions are conducted by trained facilitators. In 2024, an IB Educator Network member hosted a dedicated wellbeing workshop for teachers.
Student-led initiatives
Student-led wellbeing assemblies are a regular feature of campus life. Grade 1C's assembly on wellbeing, described as 'thought-provoking' and 'conquering hearts', is an example of how learners own and advocate for their emotional health.
School counsellor
A trained school counsellor is available for learners seeking individual emotional, academic or social support.
Peer buddy system
The house system fosters cross-age mentoring and peer support, creating a community of care within the school.
Awareness programmes
Regular parent awareness programmes deepen the home–school partnership, equipping families with practical strategies to support student wellbeing and learning.
Communication workshops
Workshops focus on strengthening parent–child communication, designed using insights from a survey of families across multiple schools. These evidence-based sessions provide structured tools that respond to real needs.
Parent portal
Parents can access real-time information about their child's attendance, academic progress and school communications through the secure iCampus digital platform.
