A Levels (Cambridge) allow students to specialise deeply in three to four subjects. Both are globally recognised, but A Levels offer more subject-specific focus while IB emphasises breadth and international-mindedness.

Yes. TIPS Erode International is committed to inclusive education. We have a dedicated learning support team that works with students who have identified special educational needs (SEN). Support is provided through personalised learning plans, small-group interventions, and close coordination with class teachers to ensure every student can access and thrive in our academic programmes.
TIPS Erode International maintains regular, transparent communication with parents. This includes formal written reports at the end of each term, parent-teacher meetings, and digital updates through the school's communication platforms. Boarding students' parents additionally receive regular updates from house parents regarding their child's wellbeing, social progress, and any pastoral matters.
At TIPS Erode International, we believe that every child is a capable, unique learner with individual strengths, needs, and aspirations. Our inclusion philosophy is built on the principle that all students — regardless of their learning profile, background, or ability — deserve access to a high-quality international education in a nurturing, respectful environment. Our dedicated Learning Support team works in close partnership with class teachers, parents, and students to ensure every learner is seen, heard, and supported to thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.
Identification begins early and is an ongoing process. Our teachers are trained to observe and record signs of learning differences during day-to-day classroom interactions. When a concern is identified, our Learning Support Coordinator conducts a structured assessment to better understand the student's learning profile. This may include academic screening, observations, and where appropriate, referral to specialist professionals. Parents are involved and informed throughout this process. We believe in early identification — the sooner support begins, the greater the impact on a child's confidence and progress.
Yes. TIPS Erode International has a dedicated Learning Support team comprising trained Learning Support educators and a Counsellor who collaborate closely with subject teachers across all stages of the school. Our Learning Support Coordinator oversees the development and implementation of personalised support plans and acts as the key point of contact for families whose children are receiving additional support. All members of our learning support team are committed to fostering an inclusive, compassionate school culture.
An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) — sometimes called an Individual Education Plan or Support Plan — is a personalised document that outlines a student's specific learning needs, agreed targets, the support strategies that will be used, and how progress will be measured. At TIPS Erode International, an ILP is developed for any student who has been identified as requiring additional learning support. It is created collaboratively by our Learning Support Coordinator, the class teacher, and the parents, and is reviewed regularly to reflect the student's evolving progress and needs.
The wellbeing of every student is at the heart of life at TIPS Erode International. The school has a dedicated Counsellor who provides pastoral and emotional support to students across all year groups. Students can access counselling support through self-referral, teacher referral, or parent request. Beyond individual support, our wellbeing programme is embedded into everyday school life — through PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education), mentor sessions, peer support initiatives, and a strong house and boarding pastoral structure. For boarding students, house parents play a vital role in day-to-day emotional care and early identification of wellbeing concerns.
Partnership with parents is fundamental to our inclusion approach at TIPS Erode International. We view parents as essential collaborators in their child's learning journey. When a student is identified for learning support, parents are engaged from the very beginning — through an initial conversation with the Learning Support Coordinator, involvement in ILP development, and regular progress review meetings. Parents receive updates through formal reports, direct communication from the support team, and parent-teacher meetings. We encourage open, honest dialogue at every stage so that the school and family are always working together in the best interests of the child.
Yes — and this is a core commitment of our inclusion philosophy. TIPS Erode International believes that students with additional learning needs should not be excluded from or limited within the mainstream curriculum. Our support is designed to enable full access and participation in the IB PYP and Cambridge programmes. This may involve differentiated teaching strategies in the classroom, modified resources, assistive tools, additional supervised study time, or small-group withdrawal sessions — but always with the goal of supporting the student to engage meaningfully with the same high-quality academic programme as their peers.
TIPS Erode International ensures that students with identified and documented learning needs receive appropriate access arrangements during internal and external examinations. These may include — subject to eligibility and Cambridge/IB regulations — additional time, rest breaks, a reader, a scribe, use of a word processor, or a separate examination room. All access arrangements are applied for and administered in accordance with the guidelines set by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). Our Learning Support Coordinator works closely with the examinations team to ensure every eligible student receives the provisions they are entitled to.
We welcome and encourage parents to reach out to us at any time — whether you have an existing concern, a diagnosis, or simply a feeling that your child may benefit from some additional support. You can contact our Learning Support Coordinator or School Counsellor directly through the school office or by emailing our admissions and support team via tipserodeinternational.org. Prospective families are welcome to discuss their child's needs prior to admission so that we can advise on how best to support them from day one. No concern is too small — early conversations lead to the best outcomes for every child.
