Specialist teachers guide learners in Physical Education, Dance, Craft and Vocal Music.
Exploring the world
Throughout the IB PYP, learners step into six exciting themes and make connections between the classroom and the world. Learning begins with questions, interests and everyday experiences that matter to learners.
Through play, exploration, stories, art and discussion, learners investigate big ideas about themselves, the nature and the world they live in. They learn by doing, wondering and sharing - building confidence, creativity and a love for learning.
Unlocking a passion for words
Language grows best when learners feel heard and encouraged. In our classrooms, English comes alive through stories, songs, conversations, puppets, role-play and shared moments.
At our Kindergarten School in Erode, learners are invited to talk about their ideas, listen to others and enjoy books and storytelling together. Early reading and writing develop gently and naturally, without pressure, as Learners build confidence in expressing themselves and sharing their thoughts with joy.
Developing logical thinking
Math is part of everyday life and learning happens naturally through play. Learners explore numbers, shapes, patterns and measurements while building, sorting, counting, cooking and playing games.
Using hands-on materials and real-life experiences, learners begin to understand math in a way that feels fun and meaningful. They are encouraged to explore, try things out and discover that math is all around them.
Enhancing physical wellbeing
Movement journeys, yoga, outdoor play and sensory circuits help learners strengthen both gross and fine motor skills. Through games, dance, outdoor play, yoga and free movement, learners learn to move with control, cooperation and enthusiasm.
Physical activity also supports emotional wellbeing, helping learners channel their energy, build resilience and feel good about themselves.
Freeing the inner self
At our Kindergarten School in Erode, learners express themselves through drawing insets (Montessori materials), painting, collage, vocal music, rhythm and movement, role play and storytelling. These explorations nurture imagination, creativity, focus and confidence, while developing early artistic, musical and pre-writing skills.
Growing emotional intelligence
Through friendship routines, turn-taking games and role play, Learners learn to share, listen, name their feelings and calm their bodies. They practise empathy, problem-solving and positive ways to manage emotions and build secure relationships.
Embracing Indian and worldwide traditions
As one of the best Kindergartens in Erode, we celebrate who learners are and where they come from, while helping them appreciate the world around them. Culture is explored through music, art, stories, celebrations, food and shared traditions.
Learners learn kindness, respect and empathy as they experience different ways of living and expressing themselves. Creativity and imagination are woven into daily life, helping learners feel connected, curious and proud of their own identity.
Our classrooms are warm, welcoming spaces where learners are encouraged to wonder, ask questions, make choices and learn through play. Timetables evolve as learners grow, but here’s a glimpse of what happens between lessons in our IB Early Years programme.

As one of the best Kindergartens in Erode, learners grow not only academically, but as confident, capable young people. Guided by the IB Learner Profile and the ISP Life Competencies wheel, learners practise clear communication, build strong self-management habits, develop social and emotional skills and strengthen their cognitive abilities through inquiry and reflection.
These skills come to life in authentic experiences across the campus – including caring for our kitchen garden and publishing stories and articles in our Kids Story Corner.
Learners are gently immersed in a rich, multilingual environment. English is the primary language of instruction, helping even our youngest learners build strong foundations for future study and global communication.
Alongside this, Tamil is introduced as an additional language, honouring the school’s deep roots in Tamil Nadu and helping learners connect with their home culture, family and community.
As learners grow, they become more and more independent, discovering new ways of learning while growing confidence.
Learning through play
In Pre-KG learners learn through play from the moment they step in. The day begins with circle time, where they share stories from home, express their thoughts and enjoy songs, finger play, storytelling, movement and simple yoga - gently building confidence, language and a strong sense of belonging. They then move into independent work with carefully chosen Montessori materials, developing fine and gross motor skills, concentration and independence as they explore at their own pace through hands-on play.
Growing independence
At our Kindergarten School in Erode, learners start their day with independent material work, using hands-on resources that build core skills, deepen concentration and boost confidence. Circle time then brings the class together for stories, discussions and shared learning. Reading begins in KG1, with writing gently introduced toward the end of the year. By KG2, learners continue to strengthen their reading and maths through active material work, while writing becomes a regular, meaningful part of each day from the very start.
